Many rappers from outside of the New York metropolitan area have drifted into town and touched the stage at the legendary open mic and showcase series, End of the Weak — it is a very welcoming and supportive event — but not that many have been able to leave a significant mark in their wake.
St. Louis transplant James Lion is one of them. Making his rounds at EOW as well as multiple NYC breeding ground spots honing his craft, Lion made quick friends and fans, and while his time in New York might already be behind him, we wanted to salute this young artist and wish him well on his continuing journey.
