One of my favorite genre-blending, innovating behemoth bands on the scene, Oxymorrons, have returned with their latest attack on today’s musical status quo.

Smacking you in the figurative face with a rumbling, rockish, epic-sounding sonic landslide on “Asleep,” Oxymorrons will render you anything but.

You might have heard the band’s similarly anthemic “Awesome” on ESPN’s First Take, and now the crew drops the Felix Snow-produced “Asleep,” off of their upcoming Tommy Boy debut EP Complex But Basic.

The emphatic beat and flow perfectly define the charismatic, energetic and explosive nature the group exudes when performing live, a trick that’s not always easy to capture on a record.
