New EP from Your Old Droog – Kinison

Your Old Droog rose to unexpected prominence in 2014, and has followed up with a new EP, Kinison. The Coney Island artist set the underground hip hop world abuzz by being mistaken for Nas early on in his short career, but this project definitely shows the difference between the two MCs. Kinison starts off a little weird but as the music progresses the bars are undeniable, with awesome production done by Marco Polo, El RTNC, and DJ Skizz. Droog, with Ukrainian roots, is proving he has what it takes to walk with some of New York hip hop’s big dogs. Some notable tracks on the EP include, “Porno for Pyros” and “Homicide.” 2015 should be a good year for Your Old Droog if he keeps up this level of work. Action Bronson - New Music, Fuck That's Delicious, Mr. Wonderful

New Music From Action Bronson “Big League Chew” Produced by The Alchemist

Now for those who have been following Action Bronson’s web series, Fuck That’s Delicious, in episode eight we saw the chefr-turned-rapper Bronson in California with his main producer The Alchemist cooking up some heat. Well that song, Big League Chew,” has been released. Now, don’t expect to hear this track on Bronson’s upcoming debut album Mr. Wonderful, (dropping 3/24/15), but the single in itself is fire. The lyrics are on point and with a beat to match his style and swag, this is sweet, gritty, New York hip hop at its finest. Check out the track “Big League Chew” and Episode 8 of “Fuck That’s Delicious” by clicking below.

Cannibal Ox - Blade of the Ronin album

New Music from Cannibal Ox featuring MF Doom – “Iron Rose”

Harlem’s own Cannibal Ox got some heat cooking up with this new track featuring the enigmatic MF Doom (who truly went ham on this track by the way). “Iron Rose” is just a preview of things to come on March 3rd when the group’s (VERY) long-awaited album, Blade of the Ronin, is set to drop. Their first project, The Cold Vein had the streets buzzin’ back in ’01. Now, Cannibal Ox has enlisted the aid of Bill Cosmiq to produce most of this album, so I have high hopes for Blades of the Ronin. Check out Blade of the Ronin’s lead-single, “Iron Rose,” f/ MF Doom.

Mazzi & S.O.U.L. Purpose - Digital Diggin' 3minus1 EP

New EP from Mazzi & S.O.U.L. Purpose – Digital Diggin’ 3Minus1

New Jersey representative Mazzi & S.O.U.L. Purpose, drop a new EP, Digital Diggin’ 3Minus1. The project is nine tracks long and from what I heard, the storytelling and lyrical content will blend nicely for those who give this entire project a listen. The beat selection is eclectic, at times a little awkward but at others, very melodic, with some tracks incorporating retro funk and then crossing boarders into a more “tribal” sound. I will say this much, Mazzi & S.O.U.L. Purpose deliver a solid body of work with an actual message, something many are asking for. Give Digital Diggin’ 3Minus1 a listen and judge for yourself:
