Expect a slew of smooth, buttery boom-bap production goodness and stylish wordplay as the Pro Era crew team up with the Brown Bag AllStars, led by a cooperative effort between PE’s A La $ole and BBAS’s J57.
Brown Bag AllStars, perennial favorites around the Birthplace Magazine offices, and Pro Era, certainly one of today’s most promising collectives, will combine forces on an as-yet-untitled album, set for release on Brooklyn-based Coalmine Records.

A La $ole has appeared on several tracks with the Pro Era crew, including spots on their mixtape/album Peep: The aPROcalypse, while Brown Bagger J57 is building an illustrious production career, having crafted tunes for artists such as Homeboy Sandman, Nitty Scott, MC, and Rapper Big Pooh.

Coalmine Records’ C.E.O Matt Diamond say, “I’m proud that we were able to connect A La $ole with J57. We wanted to make sure that they would each be a great fit, both musically and from a relationship standpoint, before we put pen to paper, and I’m very excited to show a new generation of Hip-Hop fans what these two talented forces can come up with.”
