Happy Birthday to The Ruler!

Nas joined the iconic Slick Rick during his performance at his 50th birthday party at Brooklyn Bowl as Ricky Dee rocked his classic, “Children’s Story,” from his seminal album, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick. Nas essentially played hype man to the hip hop veteran, as Slick Rick, draped in his signature gold jewelry, rapped the track, one that helped cement the English-American place in the annals of hip hop history.

The event was billed as Slick Rick’s 50th Birthday Soiree, but The Ruler was almost certainly expected to perform a bit. He did not disappoint, unleashing his classic “Children’s Story” to the delight of many, including Nas.
