A$AP Ferg Drops “Talk It” Ahead of Black Friday ‘Ferg Forever’ Mixtape Release

A$AP Ferg drops a subdued-but-thoughtful “Talk It” ahead of Ferg Forever, the DJ Drama assisted mixtape due out the day after Thanksgiving.

Over a sparse Clams Casino beat, A$AP Ferg drops lyrics that sound a bit introspective and thoughtful, at least in comparison to his typical fare. With a delivery akin to a spoken-word flow, Ferg speaks on Ferguson, slipping in a few digs at “hating muthafuckas talking bout me.”

Interestingly, Ferg also digs at “disloyal fans,” perhaps hinting at the darker side of an artist with a growing popularity.

“Let’s talk about fans / Are they fake or real? / They happy when you make the deal / They build you up to make the kill / To break you down and claim you ain’t real”

Pretty interesting track, sonically as well as lyrically. Looking to see more of Ferg stretching his stylistic repertoire like he did here.
