Brooklynite and hip hop OG Shabaam Sahdeeq has released a video for his song “Keepers of the Lost Art”, directed by Olise Forel for Moving Silence. In the video, Sahdeeq wields The Gospel of Hip Hop as he educates the youth on the elements of the culture.
The three kids illustrated on the cover of Sahdeeq’s album, Keepers of the Lost Art, come to life as they travel throughout the world following Sahdeeq’s lesson. With classic boom-bap production from Res Nullious, this track delivers a timeless sound that is recognizable across the world as a staple of hip hop.
Shabaam Sahdeeq recently spoke with us over on The NY Hip Hop Report, about his journeyman career, the New York “sound” and his album, Keepers of the Lost Art.
