XXL has released a trailer for the upcoming Bishop Nehru and MF DOOM collaboration Nehruvian DOOM, a 7-track EP to drop through London based label Lex Projects.
In the video, both rappers discuss what it’s like working with one another and the organic feel of the project. Both skillful MCs in their own right, this Bishop and DOOM collaboration is certainly a case of iron sharpening iron.
The youthful Bishop Nehru, a Rockland County native, describes his appreciation for the chance to work with the underground icon DOOM, whom he has been a long-time fan of. The notoriously mysterious DOOM praises Bishop as a young master and agrees that the vibes were organic from the first meeting.
“He built for this, I could tell,” says DOOM. “MCs are born, nahmean? You can’t make a MC out of somebody who was never born to do this.”
Bishop and DOOM have certainly built a relationship of mentor and student, something bound to benefit Bishop as his career is still young. No word yet on a release date but expect liquid swords slicing through your speakers when this project drops.
