Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip - Thank You video

Recently, long time hip hop homies Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip dropped “Thank You,” an out-of-the-blue, seemingly one-off collaboration riding a basic, but nostalgic Alicia Myers sample. The song, which received varying degrees of approval, was actually the lead-in to a larger joint effort, their upcoming joint mixtape, The Abstract and The Dragon.

Nonetheless, old school hip hop heads, and new jacks who appreciate a fine throwback sound, have reason to believe the duo have even better treats coming on The Abstract and The Dragon, set to be released on December 12.

For now, enjoy the visuals, and say thanks that a couple of veterans are making music that sounds like this.
