Homeboy Sandman is one of the more dynamic artists in hip hop today. This is nothing new to us, as we’ve been preaching his gospel for quite some time. Typically, his music is head-noddable with an eclectic twist, his wordplay is playful and intricate, requiring several listens to fully parse, and his visuals tend to be creative and highly watchable. Boy Sand keeps this streak alive with the Pace Rivers-magically-directed video for “Men Are Mortal,” from HS’s Stones Throw Records release, Kool Herc: Fertile Crescent.
