E.M. Theories presents an action-packed hip hop show taking place Friday, April 19 in Brooklyn. Apathy, Rasheed Chappell, Chris Rivers (aka Baby Pun), Prop Anon and others will hit the stage at Public Assembly, starting at 9pm, and we have free tickets up for grabs!
Also on the bill, Cult Favorite, Original Text and Eddie B, with DJ Dyllemma holding down the ones and twos.
Apathy, a veteran MC hailing from Connecticut has a lengthy catalog, both as a solo artist as well as having released material as part of crews like The Demigodz, Army of the Pharoahs and Get Busy Committee. Rasheed Chappell continues to ride on the acclaim of his 2011 release Future Before Nostalgia. Chris Rivers, son of late hip hop icon Big Pun, Chris Rivers, aka Baby Pun, brings a flow reminiscent of his revered father, with just enough mix of his own vibe. Prop Anon’s fiery delivery and style of social commentary is even more important in changing times, representing the voice of educated dissent.
Public Assembly is located at 70 North 6th Street in Brooklyn. The show is set to begin at 9 p.m. Admission is $10 in advance, $13 at the door.
