Tickets for Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert extravaganza are now available for pre-sale.
The June 2, 2013 concert, run by New York’s premiere urban music station Hot 97, is entering its 20th year, surely to follow in its continuing footsteps of bringing the biggest hip hop and R&B stars to the stage, in what is the area’s largest yearly hip hop concert event.
As usual, Hot 97’s Summer Jam will take place at the MetLive Stadium, in East Rutherford, NJ. The lineup, which has not been announced, will likely feature some of music’s hottest stars, as past concerts have.
Occasionally, as happened famously with Jay-Z’s on-screen diss of Mobb deep’s Prodigy or last year’s Peter Rosenberg/Nicki Minaj kerfuffle, controversy surrounds the day-long event.
Even though the main concert focuses on mainstream stars, there is usually a smaller, “festival” stage that allows rising stars and B-listers an opportunity to perform at Summer Jam.
