Chuck D, LL Cool J, Travis Barker Close Out Grammys (Video)

With a raucous Grammy performance in part dedicated to The Beastie Boys’ Adam “MCA” Yauch, LL Cool J, who played host during the night, joined Chuck D, Travis Barker, Tom Morello and DJ Z-Trip to close the yearly music awards show.

“By day I do a little hosting, and I do a little acting. But at night, I do a little rapping,” LL said as he introduced the others, before lighting into an explosively loud, rock/rap hybrid performance that some say was one of the highlights of the night.

The performance ended with a special tribute to late Beastie Boy MCA who passed away in 2012.

“Beastie Boys! MCA forever!” LL screamed, before the group engaged in a brief tribute performance.
