While it can get a bit tiring for mainstream or typically-non-hip hop media (aka “hipster media“) to robotically think of ASAP Rocky when thinking about New York hip hop, this was nonetheless a solid and interesting piece by The New York Times‘ Jon Caramanica on ASAP Yams, the musical, and marketing, mastermind who has been instrumental in Rocky’s rise.
