5 Recent Joey Badass Video Appearances to Peep

Joey Badass - Joey Bada$$ - Freestyle Videos

Aside from our own vocal endorsements on various episodes of The NY Hip Hop Report, and on BirthplaceMag.com posts, Brooklyn’s Joey Bada$$’s name has been buzzing throughout much of the hip hop landscape. The smooth-toned wordsmith has developed a comfortable blend of old school hip hop soul and new school swag, which is catching the ear of media and fans alike.

We bigged up his 1999 mixtape, as well as the PEEP: The aPROcalypse mixtape released by Bada$$’s conglomerate, Pro Era, admiring not only the lyrical prowess and beat selection, but seemingly philosophical and intellectual nuggets scattered among the street life documentation and young adult bravado spewed throughout.

“It’s not just rap. We’re thinkers,” Joey told Sway during his appearance on Sway in the Morning on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. During that interview, Bada$$ spoke on working with DJ Premier on “Unorthodox,” kicking it live on the air.

(And shout out to Cisco. I remember!)

Aside from that appearance, videos including Joey Bada$$ have been popping up here and there, so for those who might have been hearing the name, and wants to get a little insight into the still-in-high-school hip hop upstart, here are a few videos to get you caught up.
