For those heading to the New Jersey edition of the Rock The Bells traveling music festival this year, the assortment of artists, old and new, should be varied enough for the stodgiest traditionalist, or those all about that new new.
For two days, the yearly event will lace East Coasters with veteran acts, as well as upcoming and lesser-known artists on two separate stages. The lineups and set times for these performances has been released, so that concertgoers can plan accordingly, juggling their time between the two in an effort to catch all their favorites.
While lineups are (as always) subect (and often, likely) to change, potential concertgoers can take some of this with a proverbial grain of salt, but for the most part, these lineups nicely space out the wealth of hip hop talent that will be on display for the two-day festival, going down September 1 and 2 at the PNC Bank Arts Center, in Homdel, New Jersey.
As we previously reported, some of the major headlining acts will include Nas, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, J Cole, Ice Cube, Common and The Hit Squad. Old schoolers will be pleased with the inclusion of iconic acts like Salt-N-Pepa, Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane. New Yorkers will enjoy seeing hometown favorites like Prodigy, M.O.P., Dipset Jadakiss, Immortal Technique and Action Bronson.
The festival will be hosted by RZA and Supernatural.
