Hot 97 Summer Jam 2012, the largest hip hop and R&B concert event in tri-state area, will be viewable through a live stream video broadcast, as well as simulcast through TuneIn Radio. The annual event takes place this year on Sunday, June 3, starting at 2pm at the MetLife Stadium in Northern New Jersey.
Hot 97’s Summer Jam continues to be the biggest gathering of New York-are hip hop and R&B fans, with a lineup that typically includes many of the day’s biggest mainstream music stars. This year, among the many scheduled to appear, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz will perform, as well as newer artists and up and comers such as J. Cole, French Montana and 2 Chainz.
Aside from Minaj and Montana, Maino is the only other local act scheduled for the main stage, however, Hot 97’s Summer Jam is notorious for surprise guest appearances, so it is likely other hometown musical acts will get the chance to shine in their own neck of the woods.
In addition, during the entire day, Hot 97 also orchestrates a “festival” stage, where other performances take place, including the Boost MC Battle, A$AP Rocky, Azealia Banks, Big K.R.I.T., Fred The Godson and more.
This year, the Hot 97 Summer Jam is scheduled to be viewable via video live stream at www.hot97.com/live.
Also, thanks to a special partnership with TuneIn Radio, the entire concert will be simulcast over a free TuneIn Radio channel that normally broadcasts archived performances from past Summer Jam events, but this year, for the first time, will broadcast the concert live. Those interested, can utilize the TuneIn Radio app on iPhone or Android devices, as well as any connected vehicle systems, home entertainment systems or online at www.tunein.com.
The Hot 97 Summer Jam 2012 festivities begin with the Festival Village activities at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, while the main concert is set to begin at 7 p.m.
