Cop Shop Reunion Show (Long Island), Saturday, May 19

The Cop Shop was an iconic Long Island hip hop haven, part record store, part venue, where countless established and up-and-coming artists would roll through for in-store appearances and performances, one of few places that Long Island had which embraced hip hop music and culture in such an authentic way.

Now, with a star-studded lineup of artists and DJs, the Cop Shop Reunion will light up Halo Lounge on Saturday, May 19. While the final lineup is still in flux, we’re talking about cats like the Artifacts, Rasheed Chappell, J57 of the Brown Bag AllStars, Skyzoo, Termanology and Statik Selektah with scheduled DJ appearances by Erick Sermon, DJ JS-1, the Cop Shop’s own Lenny D with many, many more expected.

The Cop Shop Reunion Show will take place at Halo Lounge at 281 W. Main Street, in Smithtown, Long Island. Showtime is set for 8:00 p.m., and expected to delight the many fans and consumers who spent formative hip hop years at the spot during the 1990s. This is pretty much a must-go-to event for Long Island and NY-area true school hip hop heads.
