The E.E. stands for EclecticEmcee, and E.E. Delrey strives to be just that, as evidenced by the music, subject matter, delivery and choice of guest on his recent offering, “Hollywood Peroxide,” featured Homeboy Sandman. A cleverly scathing attack against those who engage in rampant lightening and brightening, and those corporate entities and media who promote the practice, “Hollywood Peroxide” is both narrative and cautionary tale, laid smoothly over an E.E. Delrey-produced track that is one part-boom bap, one-part electric audio playground.
For those unaware of the Queens wordsmith, it’s an apt introduction, showcasing E.E. Delrey’s desire to bring his brand of eclecticism to the hip hop table. Keep an eye out for his upcoming release, WHAK-FM, much of which will also feature live instrumentation.
In the meantime, check E.E. Delrey’s Bandcamp page for “Hollywood Peroxide” as well as other offerings, and get to know E.E. Delrey.
