The Throne, the collaborative tag-tag duo of hip hop heavyweights Jay-Z and Kanye West, drop the visuals to their wildly successful “Ni**as in Paris,” a kaleidoscope-laden and strobe light-filled performance video as optically energetic as are fan reactions to the song.
“Paris” followed up the success of “Otis,” the first release from their album Watch The Throne, and the two icons became somewhat notorious for performing the hit multiple times per show during their tour. The Los Angeles stop saw the two rock the jam back to back a stunning ten times. Video from that Staples Center performance serves as the foundation to the video, which was released through Vevo Thursday, February 9, 2012.
The video release adds to the flurry of Jay-Z news, following his and wife Beyonce’s much-hyped arrival of daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and Jay-Z’s historic two-day takeover of the hallowed stage at New York’s Carnegie Hall, for a concert series that benefited the United Way and the mogul’s Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.
Jay-Z has also hinted at the possibility the he and Kanye West might have a sequel to the chart-topping Watch The Throne in the works, telling MTV, “you might see a Jay, then Kanye, and a Throne album” in 2012.
For now, those who aren’t prone to epileptic seizures, can enjoy the video to “Paris,” below.
