Fresh off his BET Cypher appearance, Kendrick Lamar lands in the Big Apple to headline one of the bigger showcases of the 2011 CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival. Lamar and friends take over the Gramercy Theatre stage on Saturday night, beginning at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door, or through Livenation’s website. The show is being produced and sponsored by CareFree Nation, ICM and The Source magazine.
Also schedule to perform are Dawn Richard, of Dirty Money, Maino, Rich Hill, The Airplane Boys, Neako, Troy Ave., Ricky Rude, Issa, Jasmine Solano and Skotch Davis. The multi-talented Solano will also be holding down the DJ duties, while entertainment blogger Karen Civil of KarenCivil.com will be handling hosting. There are to be giveaways from Rocksmith Clothing.
Doors open at 6 p.m., the show is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Gramercy Theatre is located at 127 E. 23rd Street, in Manhattan.
