Lauryn Hill remains one of the more enigmatic figures in hip hop folklore, having been a member of the groundbreaking group The Fugees and releasing a heralded solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. With the exception of rare forays in the music business since then, Ms. Hill has kept largely out of the spotlight, though her personal life has been fodder for the gossip mill on more than a few occasions.
However, in recent years, Lauryn Hill has been on a bit of a comeback, sparked by her addition to the 2010 Rock The Bells lineup. Performances, interviews and a couple of songs followed, and despite some mixed reviews, Lauryn Hill began to re-capture the interest of fans who had long-awaited her return.

With Lauryn Hill rejoining the Rock The Bells lineup for this year, a video interview series sponsored by Reebok featured a brief sitdown with Hill, as she reminisces with the rest of us about the impact of her seminal album. It’s a short, but interesting watch, and gives another small glimpse at a legendary figure in our musical psyche.
