The J Period Live Mixtape Featuring Black Thought

Tamir Z. Brown and Lyrics To Go Entertainment bring the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed J.Period Live Mixtape Featuring Black Thought to New York City, touching down at Brooklyn Bowl on Tuesday, July 5. The event, which has taken place in several cities and received high praise, will be hosted by Dstroy and will also feature Mr. Mecca, Skotch Davis and DJ sets from The Xfactor Boogie Blind, of The X-Eecutioners,  and DJ Suga Ray, of Yume.

Renowned DJ and producer J.Period, who has worked extensively with The Roots in the past, and Black Thought have put together a “live mixtape” performance, calling it “a one-of-a-kind, live, hip hop experience featuring award-winning, mixtape master J.Period on the decks and legendary Roots frontman Black Thought on the mic.”

If it sounds dope, it is. Videos from prior performances highlight the abilities of both men to weave an entertaining mix of songs, verses, interludes and exclusives that simply should not be missed.
