For the first time, Summer Jam, the New York area’s premier stadium hip hop and R&B concert, is streaming live over the internet, allowing viewers from all over the world to watch from the comfort of their homes. Summer Jam, the annual concert organized by New York’s Hot 97 radio station, takes place Sunday, June 5 at the new Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford New Jersey.
Summer Jam 2011, known for delivering the largest stars of the commercial hip hop and R&B, continues in this tradition this year, welcoming the likes of Lil Wayne and his Young Money clique, New York’s recently reunited Dipset, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross and Waka Flocka Flame. The mega-concert, sponsored in part by Boost Mobile, will be headlined by controversial R&B star Chris Brown, who emerged from his Rhianna incident with a successful run culminating in his recent album release, F.A.M.E.
Hot 97 announced that this year, Summer Jam will be streamed live to the internet. Summer Jam takes place Sunday, June 5 at the Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The main concert starts after 6:00, with ongoing activities slated to be taking place earlier in the day as well.
