The hip hop sensation-of-the-hour, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, made their collective way to the Big Apple, hitting up a packed Highline Ballroom for an energetic performance showcasing their unique brand of chaotic, angst-ridden, hip hop fueled, semi-controlled insanity. Judging by some of the recaps, photos and videos we’ve seen, they were quite well received.
At Highline Ballroom, mosh pits sprung up like tornadoes through the Midwest as Odd Future spent what appeared to be zero minutes standing still, constantly erupting on and off the stage the the delight of the sold out crowd. Rap-Up said the crew indeed “brought the ruckus,” while Rap Radar said that “to say the show was crazy would be an understatement.”
Videos concur.
OFWGKTA’s Tyler The Creator performed the songs that have been making him the de facto crew frontrunner, most notably “Yonkers” and “Sandwitches,” as well as the Frank Ocean collaboration “She.” Other than those, the Odd Future machine was in full working order with an onslaught of music and energy carrying well into the wee hours with times when fans literally rushed and took over the stage.
Swag, we suppose.
Here are a few videos to check out, and links to a couple of recaps if you want to know more about how the Highline Ballroom show went down.
