LOVE/MUSIC/CURE: Music is My Voice presents a hip hop battle for a cause, Tuesday, May 17 at Public Assembly, as ten hip hop artists from across the country raise money for lifeBEAT.org while battling for the title of “Game Changer.” LifeBEAT is a longstanding, nationwide HIV/AIDS awareness organization, which utilizes music to reach and teach young people about HIV and AIDS prevention.
LOVE/MUSIC/CURE: Music is My Voice is an ongoing, multi-city showcase, providing a platform to highlight upcoming entertainer while raising funds, and awareness, about the efforts of the lifeBEAT organization. Pretty Booker of event organizer Brick Level Management states that with multiple showcases scheduled for different cities, and an annual compilation album in the works, LOVE/MUSIC/CURE expects to continue their mission to “bring a voice to those silenced by this virus through music. We are getting on the level of today’s youth by incorporating music to create awareness that we may not lose in our battle to protect our children.”
This hip hop battle for a cause takes place Tuesday, May 17 at Public Assembly, 70 N 6th St., Brooklyn, NY. Showtime starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Brought to you by Brick Level Management and NYC Socialites Media.
