It’s really makes for too long a headline, but DJ Khaled enlisted Ludacris, T-Pain, Birdman, Ace Hood, The Game, Twista, Busta Rhymes, Mavado, Fat Joe, Bun B, Jadakiss and Waka Flocka for the (pretty much) star-studded remix to his latest hood anthem, “Welcome To My Hood.” The Dayo-directed video, shot in crispy black and white, has dropped for your multiple feature enjoyment.
DJ Khaled’s latest compilation, the gramatically challenged We The Best Forever, is slated to drop on June 28, on Cash Money Records.
Despite DJ Khaled’s “hood” songs sounding somewhat sonically similar, when the guy drops an appropriately anthemic track such as this, and rounds up 347478 rappers (and the gratuitous, but always effective T-Pain), the result is usually a pretty enjoyable result, and the “Welcome To My Hood” really has to come close to having something for nearly everyone, since nearly everyone is on the remix.
