Our New York Knicks are in the playoffs for the first time in a long while, and while some of us are still recovering from the heartache and heartbreak of the 1990s close-but-no-cigar years, we’re still riding with the Orange and Blue, despite a nailbiting loss in Game One against the Boston Celtics.
To further welcome the “new” Knicks this year, the long-standing “Go, New York, Go” theme song/anthem was given a facelift, as the Knickerbockers commissioned superproducer Swizz Beatz for a sonic update.
The new version is now accompanied by a video, with cameos from Knick stars Amar’e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks City Dancers.
Check it out below, and tune in for Game Two tonight at 7:00 p.m.
