Fabolous, named one of Birthplace Magazine’s “5 Reasons Why New York Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck” for April, tries to capitalize on the success of his New York Music Award winning single, “You Be Killin Em” with a smoothed out remix, featuring crooner Ne-Yo and singer/songwriter/producer Ryan Leslie on “Look At Her (Killin Em Part 2)”.
“Look At Her (Killin Em Part 2),” should be slated for Fabolous’ upcoming mixtape The S.O.U.L. Tape, scheduled for an April 21 release. According to Fab, The S.O.U.L. Tape will be a more soulful affair, as evidenced by the slowed down, R&B-heavy vibe of the “You Be Killin Em” remix.
No word whether there will be a video to match. Fabolous’ video for “You Be Killin Em,” featuring Amber Rose, was also a New York Music Award winner for Best Hip-Hop Video. (We thought it was certainly winner for Best Use of Amber Rose!)
Anyway, the song’s not anything groundbreaking, but worked into a mainstream rap/R&B mix, it would fit in fine, and it’s one of those joints that would get into your head after a few listens, which we’re sure will happen if it makes it’s way to radio.
Give it a listen/download…
