Lil Wayne’s I Am Music II Tour went down at Nassau Colisuem, bringing the Young Money mogul back to the New York area for the first time since his release from prison in November, 2010. Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Travis Barker are among his tourmates for the 25+ city engagement, scheduled to continue through the end of April.
Even though this is right in our neck of the woods, we sat this one out, still recovering and working to recap our excellent SXSW adventure earlier this month, but several fan videos and recaps have been popping up around the web, so we can live vicariously through them if we want to.
Among the performance highlights at last night’s show, Busta Rhymes, who joined with Lil Wayne for the Chris Brown-less “Look At Me Now,” while with the lapdance-heard-around-the-net, Nicki Minaj stepped up her normal give-a-fan-an-on-stage-treat routine by gifting her bossman with his own grind session.
Here’s what Rap-Up.com had to say about the show. We’ll add other reviews and recaps as they become available, so if you care about this sort of thing, check back with us.
The tour continues with a second show at the Coliseum tonight, then move on throughout the rest of the country.
