The Kanye West at SXSW rumor has been confirmed, starting with a video announcement circulating that Mr. West is indeed scheduled to appear at this year’s South By Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival, which already boasts more hip hop on the roster than ever. As the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary showcasing the next generation of music stars, Vevo brings one of the biggest names in music to the Vevo Powerstation on March 19, confirming a teaser video that circulated earlier this month.

In the latest teaser video, several of Kanye West’s songs, videos, interviews and mentions are craftily strung together, culminating with the words, “Kanye West – Saturday March 19 – 11:59 PM – Vevo Powerstation – Austin, TX,” all but sealing the previously-only-hinted-at deal.
Show seems free with RSVP (see above), and added to powerhouses such as Talib Kweli, B.o.B., Wu-Tang Clan, Wiz Khalifa as well as countless about-to-blow artists and groups scheduled to appear during the five day event, Kanye West’s concert will be a nice icing on an already exciting cake.
