If you ask me, for us anyway, music submissions need to be emailed, not tweeted. Email is better, easier to flag and then follow-up to submissions. Plus, friendly advice as I wrote a while back about for a post on MarketingHipHop.com, haphazardly tweeting out the same link to a bunch of people, can be viewed just as negatively as spam, and could give you a bad reputation.
That being said, we did see a link shot over from Queens producer Jay 3, pushing a track with Otis Clapp (QNS) and Dremur (BX). Well, since I *just* saw Dremur two nights ago, and earlier tonight, it just so happens, Otis Clapp called me out for not listening to his album, Welcome II Nowhere, like I said I did (even though I actually did), I thought, “Ha, isn’t this ironical,” and decided to bend the aforementioned twitter-link rule, and download “Cruisin’ Away,” as a show of good faith.
The light, airy, almost playful track (shouts to Lyn Melodix on the hook), is set to appear on the upcoming Ahead Of The Class 3: The Final Exam mixtape, due in February. Visit www.StreetCongress.com for more info.
