Speaking of Reek Da Villian (because I just was, in the Vado + Movado = M.O.V.A.D.O. post a few minutes ago, are you keeping up? I know it’s late…), the Strong Island representative drops another joint that should help fuel his ascention, “Fall In Line” with none other than the most-animated-on-the-mics-since-Onyx, the Mash Out Posse themselves.
Yep, M.O.P. joins Busta Rhymes protégé Reek Da Villian on this cut, produced by Soul Professor. After a sped up Night Ranger rock-intro a la “Cold As Ice,” the head nod commences over the noisy, staticky guitar led track, with typical M.O.P. adlibs popping into your ears, simultaneously causing that squint of good-hip-hop-ness and startling the crap out of you at the same time.
Anyway, good to hear new stuff by M.O.P., and good to see Reek continue grinding. “Fall In Line” may not have the replay potential that “Mechanics” does, but it’s a fine joint nonetheless.
