Perched near the top of the mainstream hip hop music scene, Nicki Minaj continues her assault on media, this time receiving a bit of high-brow coverage in the form of an appearance in the New York Times T Magazine’s “Asked & Answered” column. Pretty sure this is going to be in Sunday’s print edition, but the online version also features a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot.
Although it’s very easy for an outlet like the Times to feature those at the top of the charts, we think that any mainstream media which portrays hip hop, particularly our hometown artists, in a positive light, is a positive thing, and since we’ve made no bones about our co-sign of Ms. Minaj, we felt inclined to share with you the find.
