Birthplace Magazine contributing photographer Sean Rhinehart (www.pdpphoto.com) was in the house to capture the action throughout the night. Rhinehart tells us that while Slick Rick’s interaction with the audience could have been better, the show was well received overall. (Maybe Ricky D. was just a bit weighed down by his infamous jewels…)

In any event, the night was helped along by opening acts Fatso Skinny, from the DMV-area, Success, Chef DJ and Menace. Check out some video footage below of the openers, as well as Slick Rick, performing with the backing of The Lifted Crew.

Stay tuned to www.BirthplaceMag.com, as we’ll be offering another contest for an upcoming show at B.B. King’s, one of our “5 Reasons Why New York Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck.”
