It’s not a long clip, and it’s a lip-synch deal, but it’s a pretty good look for Kanye West to be representing hip hop and his adopted home of New York in such a big way, atop the Daily News Big Apple float with a front-and-center performance at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
Kanye West, perched toward the front of the float, lip-sang a portion of “Lost In The World” to a crowd assembled near Macy’s and millions around the world via TV, while a delightfully-odd assortment of dancing taxis paraded around on the street below, serving as hype-cars.
Kanye West is riding the critical acclaim over his recent release My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which dropped earlier this week. He recently gave a “surprise concert” at the Bowery Ballroom which was also well received. Also bubbling in his future, Watch The Throne, his collaborative effort with superstar Jay-Z (from which we delivered an early taste, in the form of “That’s My Bitch,” featuring Elly Jackson of La Roux.
