Funkmaster Flex Presents: Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Maino, Vado, Red Cafe and Many More, Live at B.B. Kings, 11/22 – Win Tickets

Funkmaster Flex is billing it as “One of the realest hip hop shows you will ever experience,” and if your idea of “real” hip hop is top-of-their-game, New York-gritty style heavy hitters, then he just might be right. The lineup is thorough and full of solid acts, most who have a current buzz. Scheduled to appear: Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Maino, Vado, Red Cafe, Tech N9ne, J Mills, Mysonne, French Montana, Fred da Godson, Tone Trump and the Busta Rhymes co-signed, quickly rising Long Island up-and-comer Reek Da Villian.

Funkmaster Flex and a heavy hip hop concert lineup at B.B. King Blues Club, 11/22/10It all goes down Monday, November 22 at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill (named one of Birthplace Magazine’s5 Reasons Why New York Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck“). What looks to be a long, late show (doors open at 10 p.m.), should be worth the Tuesday morning need for extra espresso shots. Of particular note, Joell Ortiz (another of our “5 Reasons,” who is riding a wave of support after consistently dropping heat ever since the early summer), Joe Budden (yet another of our “5 Reasons,” who is still celebrating the release of his latest, Mood Muzik 4: A Turn 4 The Worst), Fred Da Godson (who we gave a recent nod of approval following the release of “Too Fat“) and Vado, the Cam’ron protege who has been spreading Slime Flu throughout the country in recent months.

New York rap heavyweights such as Maino (who we saw put on a pretty decent showing last March at this same venue), and Red Cafe (who did his thing there as well), should provide plenty of raise-your-drunk-hand-in-the-air-and-sing-along material, while underground touring fave Tech N9ne will likely win a few new fans who might not be as familiar with his work. Reek Da Villian, who we also gave a couple of e-nods to, is making progress staking his Conglomorate-backed name in the game, as the success of his “Mechanics” single and remix has shown.

Once again, BirthplaceMag.com teams with the B.B. King Blues Club to giveaway 2 pairs of passes to the event! Just let us know who you are below, and you’re entered into a random drawing to see the presented-by-InFlexWeTrust.com extravaganza.
