Divine Allah’s manager D. Ayatollah hit us up a while ago, letting us know about Divine Allah and his music, and while writing him up was delayed by our ongoing backlog, we definitely kept him at the top of the pile. We checked the Electronic Press Kit (EPK), and one could easily tell from the organization and well-written bio that Divine is someone who takes his craft seriously and presents himself professionally.
Musically, we see the same type of attention to detail when listening to past tracks. Clean production, sharp wordplay, with a flow, voice and style in the vein of Rakim, Divine rocks lyrical content that, on the surface at least, seems to match the description in his bio, which states “he’s able to mix, blend, and balance his street knowledge and experience with his spiritually-conscious intellect, intelligence”. We can’t disagree.
At the moment, Underground Music Award nominee Divine is in the final stages of preparation for his next full-length release, Ghetto Rhymin’, which will be available for pre-order at www.DivineGhettoRhymin.com.
For a good look/listen at Divine Allah and his music, swing on over to his SonicBids page, which includes his bio information, and an audio player. Ghetto Rhymin’ is due to be released in late October/early November.
