Tah Phrum Duh Bush – “Semi-Reserved Closet Maniac” + Album Release Concert w/Coole High

Tah Phrum Duh Bush, one of July’s “5 Reasons Why NY Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck,” just released “Semi-Reserved Closet Maniac,” a prelude to his upcoming Luminous Dark Alleys: The Insomniac Works, a book/album project due out on August 18 and to be celebrated at Future Insomniac, a joint-album-release concert with Coole High, who drops his Futuristically Speaking the same day.

Tah Phrum Duh Bush - Semi-Reserved Closet Maniac“Semi-Reserved Closet Maniac” is a bit a of a peek at Tah’s self-proclaimed “bizarre flights of fancy” that overtake the insomniac MC. His vocal styling, honed through many years of performing in the NYC area and across the country, punctuates the slightly trippy Amorphous Works-produced sonic foundation with multiple moods and varying inflection that pull the listener in, while moderately cryptic lyrics invite repeats listens.

Perfect for fellow insomniacs.

Tah and Coole High’s joint album release concert, Future Insomniac takes place August 18, at Santos Party House. Expect an outpouring of peer support and fan appreciation for both artists, and follow the party to the after-party later that night at Kenny’s Castaways, with scheduled performances by the likes of Why G, LaRue, Bisco Smith, Rabbi Darkside, Super King Armor, Sleepwalkas and Cypha Black.

Might keep us all up pretty late that night.
