The “Voice of New York” Angie Martinez interviewed Kanye West on her Hot 97 radio show this afternoon. In the short, but fairly in-depth interview, Kanye touched upon his recent jump into Twitterworld, his perceived arrogance and finally learning to deal with the loss of his mother.
Recently, it was announced that Kanye West will return to the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) this year as well, as a performer. This is the first VMAs since West’s infamous interruption of Taylor Swift winning for Best Female Video, over Beyonce, whom Kanye was a drunkedly avid supporter, in a upstaging meltdown that threw a wrench in the hip hop icon’s career. Seemingly, all is forgiven as Kanye is back, and on board to perform at the VMAs, which are set for September 12.
On Angie’s show, Kanye also leaked new material as he promised via Twitter last night, including “See Me Now,” a collaboration with Beyonce and Charlie Wilson, produced by Kanye, No I.D. and Lex Luger.
