WBAI-NY (99.5FM), an iconic station for underground hip hop in New York City, will be under a “Hip Hop Takeover” from Noon until Midnight on July 10, 2010. The 12-hour, commercial-free marathon of hip hop and hip hop-related programming, a yearly event, will be broken up into hourly segments, featuring some of NYC’s finest underground air personalities, DJs, music and mixes.
You know the Smoke-Out Day thing they do? When smokers are supposed to boycott their cigarettes for a day? Well, we suggest NYC hip hop heads do the same, spend a day away from 97.1 and 105.1 and park it on 99.5.
