Lauryn Hill – Repercussions

Lauryn Hill is emerging from her self-imposed musical exile in a big way this year, headlining the Rock The Bells 2010 Music Festival, having already performed at the Harmony Festival in California and spoken in detail to NPR. But as we first reported yesterday, behold! There is new Lauryn Hill music available! And it’s good!

The question remains as to whether or not this is *new* Lauryn Hill, or *previously unreleased* Lauryn Hill. While we hope the latter, in either event, the harp-sounding, smooth, synth-infused track is very pleasant to listen to, and while L-Boogie isn’t spitting any rhymes, the song would be a fantastic way to usher Lauryn back into the consciousness of music lovers, and we suspect this would be a particularly well-received radio joint too.

Tickets are on sale for the New York leg of the Rock The Bells Festival, happening August 28th on Governors Island, where we will all be able to witness Lauryn Hill in person, performing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in it’s classic entirety.

In the meantime, enjoy “Repercussions” with us.
