Fabolous: G-Baby Shooting Connection?

Despite not being named as a suspect, or having yet been questioned by the NYPD, the Daily News states that police are looking into Fabolous’ possible involvement in the shooting death of Greg “G-Baby” Brown, the Brooklyn rapper who was gunned down outside of Club Amazura on March 13, 2010. The two were reported to have had beef in the past that had been squashed. Still, there seems to be murmuring within police circles that Fab may have been connected in some way to the altercation that left G-Baby dead, and another wounded.

G-Baby’s mother is reported as saying, “My son was going to talk to Fab in a car, and he got shot three times. I don’t know what’s going on. I just want to know who killed my son.”

The Daily News reports that surveillance video shows Fabolous leaving the club seconds before the shooting erupted. Additional sources, including the man who has shot and the police believe that G-Baby was intentionally targeted by the shooter. Sources say G-Baby collapsed in front of Fabolous’ vehicle after being shot and that club security had to move his body to allow Fabolous and his crew to drive away.

There have been no arrests in the killing of the Memphis Bleek-affiliated rapper. A spokesperson for Fabolous had no comment.
