We hate to get into the “he say, she say” part of this. We really do. Plus, it’s reaching levels of absurdity.
Want facts and journalism? We published a THOROUGH INVESTIGATION into the non-profit charity organization named in Guru’s “farewell letter to fans”. Despite Solar’s assertions, it is not clear that Guru founded or endorsed this foundation, which we found to be listed under Solar’s wife’s name, and operating out of a UPS store mailing address, with questionable IRS tax status.
Read THAT story. It’s much more important than the “back and forth”. However, in the interest of continuously reporting a story that we are focusing on, we bring you this:
Solar, in an obvious response to DJ Premier’s description of an unkempt, unconscious and lonely Guru on his deathbed, twittered from both his Twitter account and Guru’s late Monday evening (4/26):
I was with Guru Everyday in the Hospital and would never allow anything less than the best of care for Guru. Guru received excellent professional care while in Hospital by all the Doctors nurses and attendants.
I ask, Why Not report report it right away? Why delay?
To be fair, some have wondered why, at this point, someone didn’t aggressively attempt to “step in”, however, with the allegations that individuals may not have been legally permitted to see Guru, we could understand the hesitation to get further involved. About this, who knows? All we know it that essentially, this is a direct contradiction to Premier’s account of Guru’s condition. The “two sides to every story” cliche continues to thrive in this complicated and disturbing story.
We have no further comment. You decide.
