Following up the I Love NY Hip Hop show just held at the B.B. King Blues Club, highlighting the “New New York” sound of Juelz Santana, Maino and Red Cafe, NYC pays homage to some of it’s hip hop elders at the Hip Hop Legends concert tonight, March 24th.

Scheduled to appear are Slick Rick, Diamond D (DITC), Inspectah Deck (Wu-Tang Clan), Black Moon, Smif N Wesson and Sadat X (Brand Nubian). Despite being considered “old school”, many of these artists are still actively performing, some have recently released new material. Slick Rick made a small splash recently with his freestyle over Snoop Dogg’s “I Wanna Rock”, while Sadat X just dropped Wild Cowboys II.

Wheels of steel duties will be carried out by Hot-97’s Funkmaster Flex (or simply Funk Flex, as he seems to be going by these days), a NYC hip hop radio legend in his own right. Doors open at 8pm, showtime is scheduled for 9pm.
