Donny Goines, one of the hardest working men in New York hip hop, just released a six-track EP, 20X, presented by apparel company Rocksmith Tokyo, featuring production by Apple Juice Kid, DJ Static, 6th Sense, Nastee, Versatile and M-Phazes. Goines comes off a successful year of grind which included headlining his own LiveNation show, performances at SXSW, AC3, the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival and the CMJ festival, and a little MTV video play thrown into the mix. To us, he is the epitome of NYC hip hop grind, both on- and off-line, and 20X should help Goines further solidify and expand his fan base.
Download the EP below, and check Donny Goines’ blog, as he does a very capable job documenting himself.
UPDATE: By the way, it is no small thing, that lil’ ol’ corporate sponsorship thing. Oh, and we peeped 3 tracks or so. Strong effort, good stuff.
