Big week for showcases and performances. Here’s one featuring Ohioian-turned-NYer, lawyer-turned-rapper Mekka Don:
“THE UNDAGROUND RAILROAD” showcase, presented by The Source Magazine, Tyku, M.O.V.E. Records, and The Press Play Show, features some of the top up and coming talent in the music industry. There will be three acts performing: Mekka Don, Talonted, and Flo/ The event will be held Tuesday October, 20th from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm at TAJ Nightclub on West 21st Street in NewYork City, followed by an after party with The Legendary Kid Capri.
When asked why they chose, “THE UNDAGROUND RAILROAD” as the title for the showcase, Mekka Don replied, “We are on the underground but all that means is that we are not yet famous – it is not an indictment on our talent. But we are on the railroad…going full speed…and we are coming fast. We are here to liberate the peoples’ ears.”
The crowd will be composed of some of the music industry’s top executives, djs, lawyers, business people, and athletes. The entry fee is $10. Free drink specials will be provided by Tyku.
