Hip hop heads first heard of Queensbridge, New York rapper Cormega when Nas shouted him out on “One Love” on 1994’s Illmatic then put him on “Affirmative Action” on the follow-up, It Was Written. Industry politics kept his debut album, The Testament, from being released until almost a decade after being recorded, so fans didn’t get an official debut from the MC until 2001’s The Realness. He followed with True Meaning, the rarities collection Hustler/Rapper, and the compilation Legal Hustle. Cormega is back with his new album Born and Raised with production from hip hop elite producers. Check out his singles “Make It Clear & “Journey”!
