If ever the MySpace genre tags of hip-hop / experimental were accurate, it would be to describe Anti-Pop Consortium. After a break-up (’02) to make-up (’07), the quartet are gearing up for the release of Flourescent Black in October, and are embarking on a worldwide tour through December. Expand your mind a little, and check ’em out.
From BrooklynVegan:
After their reformation last year, Anti-Pop Consortium has been hard at work crafting the follow-up to 2002’s Arrhythmia (which came out on the recently-in-the-news Warp label). The new record, Fluorescent Black, is set to come out October 6th on Big Dada (home of Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle).
Head on over there to get the links to download a megamix of new songs and a couple stand-alone mp3s (we didn’t want to be link whores).
We will, however, re-post the tour schedule below. Take note of the Sept. 29 album release party at Santos.
